To create one's world in any of the arts takes courage.

Photography for me has taken many forms. I started out in the 1990's interested in the darkroom process with black and white film. Then, I fell in love with the access brought about by carrying a camera as a college photojournalist. Next, I transitioned like all photographers to digital. Here, I focused on learning the technical aspects, making money with portraits and helping others see themselves as I see them.

Today, I am enthralled by the creatively allowed by using a camera. Being an artist in the true meaning of the word is exciting and rewarding. The camera along with digital editing/manipulation fosters a strong form of expression. This love of learning included reading about photography. Now, I cannot imagine my art without books and the information gained by growing the imagination in your mind. That is why Jenny Sarabia Portraits, LLC is powering Latina Journey. I want to help foster the interconnection between art and books. Imagination and reality. Personal growth at the same time highlighting Latina experiences that may not be brought to the forefront of life.
